See Gorillas in Bwindi Forest is a 3 days Bwindi Gorilla Safari – a gorilla Trekking Safari in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park that will bring you face to face with the massive giants of Bwindi – the mountain gorillas. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is located in the southwestern part of Uganda covering an area of 321 km2 and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The forest lies at an altitude between 1160 m -2607 m above sea level and is famous for being home to over 450 mountain gorillas.

Day 1: Entebbe / Kampala – Bwindi National park
Morning your driver/guide will pick you in Kampala/Entebbe and will drive you to the south western part of the country. Stop at The equator for land mark photo taking and continue to Mbarara. Break for lunch on the way then precede to Bwindi Forest National Park the home of Mountain Gorillas. It is estimated to half of the world’s surviving population of mountain gorillas –400 live within these boundaries shared by Uganda, Rwanda and Congo.
The drive is long but enjoyable. Proceed south to Buhoma viewing the terraced hills of Kigezi Highlands once known as Switzerland of Africa as you drive along. Arrival will be in the evening. You will then settle in at your Lodge for , Dinner and overnight as you prepare for tomorrow’s event! FB

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking Bwindi
You will wake up early today and prepare for the highlight of your See Gorillas in Bwindi Forest – affordable 3 day gorilla safari, an unforgettable encounter with the Gentle Giants- the gorillas! Following breakfast, you will be transferred to the National Park headquarters offices where you will be allocated a gorilla family in groups of 8 as well as a gorilla tracking guide. After a pre-tracking briefing by your guide touching on the gorillas generally, your assigned gorilla family as well as appropriate safety precautions, you drive to the trail head for the start of a thrilling gorilla tracking adventure.
Expect to walk between 2 and 8 hours before you see gorillas in steep and sometimes muddy conditions with rain overhead, which can be tough and require a degree of (average) fitness. However, the thrill of coming face to face with a giant Mountain Gorilla silverback completely makes up for the effort!
You will need to carry long pants like jean type, sturdy shoes to help you hiking steep and slippery slopes, long sleeved shirts and blouses and garden gloves to protect your bodies from thorns and itching plants. You may not rule out raining on you and at least a rain coat is needed to protect your bodies and any equipment carried along with like cameras. Also carry insect repellents and sun cream.

Day 3: Bwindi to Kampala- Entebbe
After an early breakfast in the lodge you will drive back to Kampala with your packed lunch OR thereafter continue to Entebbe airport to catch up with your flight back home.
