For this Fly Bwindi Gorilla Trekking you will fly on scheduled internal flights to either Kihihi or Kisoro from Entebbe to western part of Uganda in Bwindi Impenetrable forest which is a home to a half or the world’s endangered mountain gorillas. This gorilla safari is for those with limited time and do not want to drive the 8-9 hour drive to see gorillas in the forest, giving them enough energy to track mountain gorillas the next day and still enjoy the aerial view of Western Uganda and Lake Victoria. You will explore this unique forested national park, see the Mountain gorillas in the jungle escorted by a park ranger guide.

    DAY 1:

    Arrival & Transfer to Hotel

    Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by our Fly-in Uganda Gorilla Safari Tour driver/ guide who will transfer you to accommodation in Entebbe for overnight.

    DAY 2:

    Entebbe – Fly-in Safari to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

    In the Morning after your breakfast, drop off at Entebbe International Airport for your domestic flight to southwestern Uganda. (Kihihi or Kisoro Airstrip) From the airstrip, you will be picked and transferred by road for approximately an hour to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the home of endangered Mountain Gorillas and Fly-in Uganda Gorilla Safari primary destination.

    You will check in at the lodge for a delicious lunch. In the afternoon after lunch, you will go for guided nature walk in the forest where you will expect to see monkeys and forest birds. later relax at the lodge while preparing for your gorilla trekking the next day.

    DAY 3:

    Gorilla trekking adventure and afternoon community walk

    An Early morning start with breakfast, you will report at the park office to attend the briefing by the ranger guide about the DO’S and DON’TS of gorilla tracking. You will then be assigned to the gorilla family of which you will track.

    Expect walking long distance on a steep, muddy and slippery trail, sometimes with rain overhead while tracking gorillas. The whole exercise may be strenuous but the joy you experience after encountering the gorillas is overwhelming.

    When the chance comes to see gorillas (the gentle giants of Bwindi forest) it is perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. Gorilla Trekking may take 3-6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas in their natural habitat.

    You will stay with the gorillas for a maximum of one hour once you find them, and then on return from tracking, you may go for community walk to meet local people including Batwa/ pygmies as you learn about their way of living.

    DAY 4

    Bwindi – Entebbe International Airport.

    After breakfast on day 4 of your Fly Bwindi Gorilla Trekking, drop off at the airstrip for another flying safari journey back to Entebbe Airport to connect with your international flight out of Entebbe.

    If you departure flight out of Entebbe is late in the night, a day room can be arranged in Entebbe for you at an extra cost.
