Travel Itinerary

Day 1 - Transfer by Road to Bwindi Forest

Very early in the morning at 6:30 am, your guide will pick you from your hotel and transfer you to Bwindi impenetrable rainforest. You will have a brief stop at the equator for photography and an en-route lunch in Mbarara. The beautiful scenery of Kabale also referred to, as the “Switzerland of Africa” will be a big spectacle as you traverse the vast countryside. Arrive in Ruhija in the evening to prepare for gorilla trekking the next morning. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Mist Camp/Ruhiija Lodge/Bakiga Lodge.

Day 2 - Gorilla Tracking Bwindi Forest

Get up early at 6:00 am, take breakfast, and report to the Park headquarters with your packed lunch for a briefing by the senior park ranger guide. You will then set out to track the gentle giants through thick vegetation as you hike up and down slippery slopes. Be vigilant to listen to their vocal communications and follow them until you finally catch sight of them. An hour with them is a guarantee as you observe and learn their habits while taking photos. This forest is a haven for primatologists and ornithologists. After tracking, you will return to the lodge for refreshing. In the evening, you may go for a cultural walk to the Batwa community and the neighboring local community. Dinner and overnight (day 1).

Day 3 - Drive to Queen Elizabeth Game Park

After an early breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth NP via Ishasha – the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth national park in search of the rare tree-climbing lions whilst not avoiding sights of antelopes like kobs, gazelles, and bushbucks among others. Arrive for lunch at Mweya lodge and in the afternoon go for a 4 pm boat cruise along the Kazinga channel connecting lakes George and Edward which will reward you with close-range views of crocodiles, hippos, buffalos, elephants, and a variety of birds like pelicans, African skimmer, African fish eagle. You will then embark on an evening game drive on return from the boat in search of some game as a lion, leopard among others. Dinner and Overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge/Kyambura Game Lodge/Enganzi Lodge.

Day 4 - Game Drives / Transfer to Kibale Forest

In the morning, you will go for a game drive to the Kasenyi Sector where you will be rewarded by animals like lions, bushbucks, possibly Leopard, among others.5 Days Wildlife & Gorilla. You will then proceed to Kibale Forest NP reaching early for Lunch. In the afternoon, you may proceed for a nature walk to the Bigodi wetland sanctuary. Dinner and Overnight at Kyaninga Lodge/Crater Safari Lodge/Primates Lodge/Chimpanzee Guest House.

Day 5 - Moring cHimpanzee trackin ? Transfer back to Kampala / Entebbe

In the morning, gather at the park headquarters for briefing and then go for chimp tracking in the forest where you will encounter other primates. In return, you will set off to Kampala, reaching early in the evening
